Bob Myers, the former general manager of the Golden State Warriors, devoted part of his last season with the team attempting to uncover the source of the leaked video showing Draymond Green striking Jordan Poole during practice at the season’s outset.
Despite efforts by the organization, including enlisting a third party, the perpetrator behind the leak remained unidentified. This leak contradicted the team’s assertion that the incident was insignificant, as it was publicized by TMZ.
During an interview on JJ Redick’s “The Old Man & The Three” podcast, Myers conceded that despite their efforts, they couldn’t pinpoint the individual responsible. The aftermath of the incident and the subsequent leak led to a breach of trust within the team, affecting their performance throughout the season. The Warriors ended the season with a record of 44-38 and were eliminated in the Western Conference semifinals by the Lakers. Following the season, Poole was traded to Washington.
The altercation between Poole and Green remains shrouded in mystery, with many unanswered questions, including the exact exchange of words that preceded the punch.
