Zane Maloney is set to assume the role of Reserve Driver for Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber in 2024 while concurrently enrolling in the Sauber Academy’s driver development program for the upcoming season. Alongside the 2023 Formula 2 Champion, Théo Pourchaire, Maloney will share responsibilities for Reserve driving duties.
Having completed his rookie campaign with Rodin Motorsport in Formula 2, Maloney secured a 10th place finish in the Drivers’ Championship after achieving four podiums throughout the season. Prior to his F2 stint, Maloney showcased his talents in FIA Formula 3, contending for the 2022 title and securing three Feature Race victories in his single season in the Championship. Ultimately, he concluded as the runner-up in the Standings, trailing by a mere five points.
